When the large color area in a jersey design changes, the color of the number may also need to change. Therefore, finishing small text details first and deciding on the background last creates unnecessary repetition. Place interdependent decisions in sequence.

Work first on the main color and general pattern, then the crest and sponsor area, and finally the player information. Briefly check previous decisions at each stage. Such an order does not forbid changes; it makes it visible which other parts are affected by a correction.
