Jersey Name and Number Placement
The name and number on the back of the jersey do not have to have the same priority. If you want the number to be more prominent, adjust the size of the name accordingly. Establish a clear layout instead of letting the two elements crowd each other.
Start with an example of a long name and a wide number. Then, move on to a draft with a short name. Compare it with different examples rather than assuming the ratio that looks good on one player is correct for all players.
